Together we can make a difference!

According to the United Nations youth sport represents one of the most dynamic mechanisms to help prevent young people committing crimes and encourage them to be on the right path. This is because organised sport can engage youth of all races, genders and classes (United Nations, 2005).

Daniel Tarschys, the former Secretary General of the Council of Europe, talks about how people through sport such as football, rowing, athletics. Find a place where they meet new people and is essentially the training ground for community life!

It is through this, children learn to take responsibility, to follow rules, to accept one another, to look for consensus and to take on democracy.

This is further evidenced by a multi-sport program in Bristol, that engaged youth at risk of offending or re offending resulted in a 43% reduction in juvenile crime!

This is why we at The Community Scheme work with community sport initiatives all across England and to help fund the fantastic work that they do in our communities.

However, none of this can be done without your help!

With the ever growing budget cuts and the prices of everything on the rise, more and more clubs are turning to us for help with funding as without it they will be forced to close their doors for good.

That is why we are actively seeking support from people just like you to become members of the community scheme and allow us to help more communities and to encourage more youth to follow the right path.
